Welcome to the Village Tap. We're one of those friendly neighborhood taverns, located off the beaten track (i.e. where you can still park!), that you would not want to miss. We've been around since 1990, but there's been one establishment or another over here since the end of Prohibition, and possibly even before. We've modernized a bit but did our best to maintain the old charm.

We're famous for one of the finest draft beer selections in Chicago, over 30 taps, and the food has gained quite a reputation as well. We also have a unique beer garden, not only is it open in the summer, it's open all year round! Imagine, hanging out in the beer garden in January during a Chicago cold snap; it's true! There are many other things to tell you about like the local art on the wall and our jukebox, but we don't want to give it all away. So when you feel like a cold draft, some great food, and hanging out in a cozy, friendly place, come on down to the Tap, we look forward to seeing you soon.

By the way, if you don't mind, we'd like to plug a quick word for Jaks Tap, which we opened three years ago. Jaks is located just west of the Loop at 901 W. Jackson, has 40 draft beers, the same great menu, a private party room and a couple pool tables. Jaks is open for lunch, dinner, and late at night and is the perfect spot to check out on your way to the United Center or when you can't get to the Village. Thanks again for stopping by!

Roscoe Village's social hub has transcended the neighborhood bar tag and advanced to the next level: destination. Word has spread, but the invading weekend throngs have yet to destroy the Tap's warm bar-and-grill charm. The 30-brew draft selection is fearless, the beer garden is peerless, and patrons sneerless. Great local art on the walls.
